Starting this evening, and over the next couple of days, respond intensely and passionately to life without holding on for dear life. Not a good time to be forced to accept emotional responsibility, but you would do well to remember that some jealously issues that you thought were resolved may come up.

If you can stay focused in the moment, this energy could be used to finish some less rewarding projects you’ve had on hold.

Moon in Scorpio / solidifying changes – emotionally possessive

Lab process of Separation:
To separate a compound into unique substances. Leaching salts from ashes. Filtering solids from liquids. Pressing oils from solids.

New discoveries about yourself should come easy for the next couple of days.  A good time for contemplation and building great plans, but not so much for getting anything done – that can come later. Stay in the moment and share the beauty.

Moon in Libra / unifying changes – emotionally refined

Lab process of Sublimation:
The first stage of Coagulation, in which the vapors solidify; represented by the sign for the constellation of Libra. The vaporization of a solid without fusion or melting, followed by the condensation of its vapor in the resolidified form on a cool surface. The elevation of a dry thing by fire, with adherency to its vessel.
To cause to pass off from the solid to the vapor state by heating, and again to condense into solid form.
This occurs when a solid is heated and gives off a vapour which condenses on the cool upper parts of the vessel as a solid, not going through a liquid phase. An example is sal ammoniac (Ammonium Chloride).

MIDWEST HERB SHOOL 3 • August 7 – 9, 2015 • Fri – Sun •

at Our Haven Nature Sanctuary, French Lick, Indiana.

Overview:

This is a weekend event created by the founders of the Midwest Herb Fest, an annual educational event held at Our Haven since 2007.

Arrive Friday evening, set up your campsite, and relax. Saturday we start at 9:00 am with an active moving meditation, don’t worry, we won’t be sitting in a lotus position. It’s very simple to do. It’s recommended that you eat a light breakfast, a little portion of fruit and cereal work well for me.

Then we go on a plant identification walk where we’ll choose a wild medicinal plant to harvest. After you have lunch we will begin to process our plant using ancient alchemical techniques, and modern laboratory equipment.

While the plants are processing there will be a lecture on alchemical astrology, including hands-on instruction for creating your own birth chart. (You will need to know your birth place and time, and of course your date of birth.) We will finish our day with another active meditation.

Sunday, after the meditation, while we observe our experiment, there will be a lecture on plant constituents and their uses. After lunch we will finish our experiment. The evening meditation will teach you how to intuitively find a plant that resonates with your being, using your freshly honed skills of observation. This will be done on your own, and when you return we’ll look-up the plant you’ve chosen.

Timothy A. Wilkerson
