Happy New Year!

Friday-Sunday
ACTIVE – Moon in Capricorn, laboratory process of Fermentationemotionally reserved

Fermentation, is using natural microbes (yeasts in the Plant Work) to extricate and concentrate the Spirit of the matter.

Sidereal astrology
is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to:  hold-on; preferably to what is working, and not to what isn’t.

Challenges: un-involvement; feelings that you’re left out of the loop.

Balance: connections; look for the opportunity for new friendships and let the old ones rest for now.

It brings a reference point for understanding our possible strengths and weaknesses; which can then be related to our work and relationships.

Moon in Sagittarius, laboratory process of Incineration emotionally idealistic

Intuitively picking the best date is part of the art of Alchemy, and Astrology (sidereal) can generally enrich your intuition.

Incineration, in the plant Work, is the burning off of impurities to extract the soluble minerals.

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to:  intensify; bringing light to new (or old) opportunities will be effortless.
Challenges:  over burn; too much heat can melt the matter and part of its value is lost – you’ll need to evaluate closely.

Balance: purpose; look for what powers the reasons behind your pursuits, this can help to identify any need for changes.

Keywords to Contemplate:
Forthright     . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sun in Sagittarius – persistent, inspirational
Idealistic (emotionally) . . . . . Moon Sagittarius – changes, inspirational
Independent   . . . . . . . . . . . . Mercury in Sagittarius  – mental, inspirational

Moon in Scorpio, laboratory process of Separationemotionally possessive

Intuitively picking the best date is part of the art of Alchemy,
and Astrology (sidereal) can generally enrich your intuition.

Separation is any process that removes impurities by division.
Example: scraping the white salts after evaporation to separate them from the rings of darker salts – which can be worked separately or presently excluded and saved for later use on a different project. Separating the oils from dried herbs using steam is another example. Also, separation can be a second choice to distillation, the separation of the subtle from the crude, especially if there are good Elemental influences (for instance more Air than Earth).

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to:  persevere mentally; abundance of energy for thinking things through from another direction – maybe even from finish to the start, just for fun.

Challenges:  dedication; feeling that your past commitments are drastically changing, but they probably aren’t changing that much, there’s just a lot impulsive electricity and independence in the air.

Balance:  holding dear; those things that are refreshing to your life and letting loose of the rest until another time when you can sort them out.

Keywords to Contemplate:
Forthright     . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  Sun in Sagittarius – persistent, inspirational
Possessive (emotionally) . . . .  Moon Scorpio – changes, solidifying

Moon in Libra, laboratory process of Sublimationemotionally refined

Sublimation is used in the mineral Work. Heating a solid to a vaporous state and then condensing the vapor back to a solid nature. I’ve noticed that heated herbal extractions (reflux, soxhlet) are aided by this lab process.

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to: charge up; there’s energy available to spring a bit of mystery into the formula. Multiple opportunities come from a good blend of elements; Fire and Air, Earth and Ice.
Challenges: wanting to improve yourself; but you feel like you’re already perfectly capable.
Balance: define your duty; to who, or what, why, how and the most important balancer, determine your when – when am I off duty, and when am I on.

Keywords to Contemplate:
Forthright     . . . . . . . . . . . . . Sun in Sagittarius – persistent, inspirational
Refined (emotionally) . . . . . . Moon Libra – changes, unifying

Moon in Virgo, laboratory process of Distillationemotionally discriminating

Distill that large batch you’ve been saving until last. Even on passive days Moon in Virgo gently encourages the rise and condensation of vapors in the warming process. Distillation can be accomplished at lower heat, and often in less time especially on the Active dates (21st).

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to: appreciate; the root of your general direction in life, whether by lack of choice or by design.

Challenges: overconfidence; thinking that you have it all figured out. If the perfect answer comes quickly, you may want to rethink it just in case. Get a feel for it first, like the sand between your toes when you prepare to walk barefoot on the beach.

Balance: Be flexible; if it’s not a safety concern, try accepting what you’re observing without judgment.

Moon in Leo, laboratory process of Digestionemotionally dramatic

Seal and set your matter to a warm heat and let it sit. A great time to start a maceration.

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to: take the lead; easily get things organized in a methodical way.

Challenges:  robotics; getting caught up in the usual way of business without thinking about it.

Balance: positive drama; it’s not always bad when drama is in the air, it can also be used in fun energetic ways – charades, writing, etc.

Keywords to Contemplate:

Moon in Cancer, laboratory process of Dissolutionemotionally tenacious

This is when dissolving the salts in pure water will be more complete. Add in some fire elements of thought and honest observation to activate the process further. This can bring about a synchronicity with the natural tendency that is at influence.

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to: stick like glue; it’s easier to be attentive to what you really want to do, (if you don’t fight it).

Challenges:  being frank; a feeling of open hearted-ness presents a tendency to tell it like it is, even if you suspect it will turn people away.

Balance: dedication; just recognize where your commitments are leading.

Moon in Gemini, laboratory process of Fixationemotionally versatile

A good time for the soul to adhere to the body. You may notice that the salts absorb more oil than usual while feeding the stone.

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to: be flexible: letting go of your stubbornness can bring in a new flow of energy to your projects and interrelations.

Challenges: autonomy: thinking that you want to be alone or become a hermit and leave it all behind.

Balance: truth: embrace what inspires your dedication regarding work and relationships to reinstate your past commitments.

Full Moon in Taurus (13), laboratory process of Congelationemotionally stable

The Full Moon is at perigee, its closest point for the month, making her look 7% bigger than an average Full Moon; sometimes referred to as a Super Moon (furthest point is a MicroMoon). Energetically, this is a good time to cohobate your purified parts. Also, based on historical charts, I suspect a large earthquake [7+ magnitude] will be associated usually just before or just afterwards, if not on the same day (a 3 day window).

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to: just flow; with whatever is happening, stability isn’t a problem even in the most difficult situations.

Challenges: anxiety; everything you touch shocks you a little; the closer you look the more isolated you think you are.

Balance: blamelessness; don’t think or feel anything is your fault unless you’re sure it is; either way it’s best to have an escape plan just in case.

Moon in Aries, laboratory process of Calcinationemotionally aggressive

As the salts begin to purify we also start to release psychological and emotional impurities. If we don’t indulge resistance to this internal purification the salts will become whitened quicker.

Sidereal astrology is about what’s ‘in the air’ for us as individuals.*

A good time to: branch out; if you must go it alone know that the current influences can strengthen the focus on your objective for the next two days.

Challenges: burn-out; thinking too much about what inspires your dedication – perhaps save that for another time.

Balance: breath deep; take a few moments to feel the wind in your face and don’t be burdened by who you think you are.
